Create stand-out packaging with your brand’s logo or design custom printed on water-activated paper tape. A fast and effective way to deliver a great first impression.
Our gummed paper packing tape is 60mm wide in a natural kraft colour, with your design printed as single colour (black) print. The tape is backed with a water-activated vegetable-based adhesive, and is designed for sealing cartons up to 15kg in weight.
To activate the tape, use the included sponge or a water-activated tape dispenser [see our available dispensers here]. Provided in rolls of 90m. Not suitable for use on coated or glossy surfaces.
When not in use, store your tape in an airtight container. This is particularly important if you live in a hot, tropical climate, as humidity can cause the adhesive to activate which will result in your tape becoming stuck together on the roll.
Artwork Specs for Custom Paper Tape
- Original vector artwork [saved as ai, eps or pdf] will provide the best result, and is preferred. Alternatively, please supply your design in a high-resolution image file format [e.g. jpg or png that is at least 500px wide or high]
- If you’re providing a vector file, please ensure all fonts are converted to outlines before you upload.
- Provide your design in single colour [black only].
- Avoid submitting screenshots, photographs or very small or pixelated images, and keep your file size to a maximum of 5mb [so we don’t break the internet!]
- For best results, keep your design very simple, with bold lines and high contrast between black and white.
- Avoid very small negative space areas within printed areas as ink bleed may occur.
- Allow for a maximum of 20% ink coverage in any 0.5cm vertical or horizontal section of tape.
- Maximum message length 250mm [including gaps between each repeat].
- Here’s a template for designing your tape using Adobe Illustrator. Please use this for any layout more complicated than simple repeated image or logo, as we’re not able to offer a design service.
